Departure from Marrakech, and drive through the High Atlas mountains -Tizi nTichka pass. We’ll take time to stop and enjoy the impressive landscapes, have coffee and fresh-squeezed orange juice break before visiting the Atlas film studios where many big box office adventure films were turned ( The Mummy, Black Hawk Down, Cleopatra, Gladiator, Moses, and more) before stopping in Ouarzazate for lunch and to visit the famous Kasbah Taourirt. The first night will be spent there.
Next destination is a drive through the Valley of the Roses, and Dades Gorges. We pass through many Berber villages and experience a culture unchanged for thousands of years in riverside oasis gardens and barren hillsides clustered with kasbahs. We visit Dades Gorges and spend the night in a beautiful hotel, enjoying the local music with the evening meal.
After breakfast we have a short drive to reach a massive fault dividing the High Atlas Mountain. Todra Gorge sheer rock walls rise over 300m in their narrowest part, where you can wander with a guide through palmerie villages, gardens, and kasbahs for a close look at traditional Berber ways of life. After lunch we drive to Merzouga- the gate to the Sahara dunes; relaxing afternoon on the swimming pool; in the evening, the Christmas or New years’ eve dinner and show in the hotel
After breakfast we take you to visit an old slave village and a lake animated by the pink flamingos. Upon return from this visit you have lunch after which your local guide will lead your camel caravan into the dunes to the bivouac (camp), where a traditional tagine dinner (vegetarians welcome) is prepared under the evening stars. Climb the dunes and watch the moon rise before retiring to your bed in a nomad wool tent.
We will return by camels at sunrise to your your hotel for breakfast and shower. Afterwards we will depart for the World Heritage Site of Aït Benhaddou Kasbah. This village of clustered Berber Kasbahs has been used as a backdrop for more than 20 films and was one of the most important fortress strongholds on the old Salt Road where caravans brought slaves, gold, ivory and salt from Saharan Africa to Marrakech and beyond. The last night will be spent there.

Departure from Marrakech at 7:00 am, we drive across the Atlas Mountains (200 km through the High Atlas Mountain).
We have a short stop for breakfast around 9:00 am in a Berber Village (Tadart).
First big stop is to visit ‘Aït Ben Haddou Kasbah’ a 16th century fortress classified by UNESCO as a human heritage. Many big movies were turned there (Gladiator, Laurence of Arabia, Kingdom of Heaven…)
We stop for lunch even at the Aït Benhaddou Kasbah or in Ouarzazate (the capital city of cinema in Africa). After lunch we drive through the Roses valley and the Road of the Kasbahs. We arrive to Dades Gorges around 5:00 pm. We spend the night in the Gorges
After breakfast we drive toward Todgha valley, we visit the Valley and its gorges. We drive to Erfoud; there we stop for lunch, after lunch we drive to Merzouga, the gate to the dunes. We go to Le Palais des Dunes hotel, we stop there for around an hour if you are attempted by a short swim in the swimming pool. Around 4 o’clock we ride camels two hours into the dunes.
We arrive to the camp around 6 o’clock, we have a mint tea with the nomads in the camp, and then we get over the dunes to watch the sun set. After the sun set you will have the opportunity to see the most amazing sky you have ever seen in your life. Back to the camp for dinner, after dinner the nomads play music for us around a fire. We sleep under nomads tents
We wake you up half an hour before sunrise to see magical lights and the sunrise. We ride camels back to Merzouga. Once back to the hotel in Merzouga, we have a shower and breakfast. After breakfast we get into the vans and drive back to Marrakech.

We leave at 7:00 am toward Ouarzazate, 200 km through the Atlas Mountains (beautiful landscapes and Berber authentic villages). First big stop is to visit Ouarzazate and the famous kasbah Taourirt, then we have lunch near the Kasbah.
After lunch we drive through Ouarzazate (the capital city of cinema in Africa), then we drive toward Agdz and Zagora. We have a visit of the Draa Valley and its palmeraie. then We ride camels for an hour and a half in the middle of the dunes; we stop in the middle of the dunes for pictures.
Getting to the camp half an hour before the sunset and have a mint tea with the nomads in the camp. Then we go over the dunes to watch the sunset.
After this we go for a walk to discover the desert, where you will have the opportunity to see the most amazing sky you have ever seen in your life.
Back to the camp for dinner, after which the nomads play music for us around a campfire
On the second day, we awake you before sunrise to see the first lights of the day (magical lights before the sunrise). After the sunrise, we have breakfast. Later on, we get on the camel’s back and get to the van; we drive back toward Marrakech. We stop to visit ‘Ait Benhaddou Kasbah’, a 16th century Kasbah. After the visit we have lunch; then we continue the trip. We get back to Marrakech around 17:30.

An amazing Marrakech 1 day trip to Ourika valley: the most accessible valley in the High Atlas from Marrakech. At only 45 minutes’ drive from the city. the valley – famous for the 7 waterfalls at Setti Fatma village, is a lush valley with green terraced fields beside the river that contrast strongly with the rocky valley sides of the foothills of the mountains.
Situated at around 1,200-1,500 metres it offers a pretty escape from the summer heat of Marrakech and it’s the most suitable area for gentle hiking and trekking.
Tnine Ourika, named after the local souk (market) in the valley held every Monday; in the middle of the valley we visit a saffron farm and an organic herb farm. The lush valley and local village houses, built from bricks made from the local rich red soil, add the beauty to the area.
We leave Marrakech around 09:00 a.m. we drive toward the Atlas Mountains enjoying the beautiful landscapes and Berber authentic (16th and 17th century) villages. Our First stop is in a traditional Moroccan house. we’ll discover how people live and how (great) they cook. From the roof of the house you have a beautiful view on a 17th century village and on the valley. The lady (owner of the house) will make a tea ceremony to show us how to make mint tea; and then they will serve us a kind of country breakfast (bread, butter, honey, olive oil and tea).
Camel ride and gentle hiking
We drive deeper in the valley, we stop for a 20 minutes camel ride. After the camel ride we drive until the end of the road; we leave our vehicle and go trekking for around two hours, to explore the waterfalls. Then we come back to the van; and drive half a way
We stop for lunch in a nice restaurant having beautiful view on the valley. Lunch is composed of a variety of Moroccan specialities. After lunch we drive back to Marrakech.

Upon arrival to Ouzoud; we walk around 10 minutes on a footpath to the upper waters of the waterfalls. There grain mills operate thanks to the torrent water. Then we stop for Lunch in a nice restaurant on the cascades site
The waterfalls, which are often topped by a rainbow, thanks to the spray of water falling on the rocks; join up with the Oued el Abid canyon, two kilometres below. A footpath winding among olive trees will lead you to the foot of the waterfall, where you will perhaps catch a glimpse of wild monkeys.
