With the snow-covered peaks of the High Atlas to the north and the Sahara to the south, Morocco’s Jebel Saghro is a perfect place for winter, spring and autumn riding.

We drive from Marrakech across the Atlas to Ouarzazate and then to Tinghir. We begin our biking with an exploration of the magnificent Todra Gorge. Following a mixture of hard pack and tarmac roads we cross the Tizzi Tazazart (2270m/7448ft) and enjoy a great descent to the traditional village of Nekob. Then, after a visit to the oasis town of Zagora on the edge of the Sahara, we turn north through the 'Valley of the 1000 Kasbahs', where groves of olives, figs, dates and amends contrast strikingly with the desert we have left behind. Escape and experience a journey to the pink and ochre colored mountains of the Jebel Saghro!
This trip is suitable for regular and reasonably fit bikers. Mainly biking on hard pack tracks, the route is not overly technical but there are enough climbs to offer a challenge. There are also some single-track options throughout for fitter, technically adept bikers. We will stay in comfortable hotels each night, some of which have pools. Vehicle support always available. Average 60 km/37 miles per day.

Itinerary
Day 1. Upon arrival to Marrakech and transfer to Hotel or Riad; you meet your guide for the preparation of your departure
Day 2. Reassemble our bikes after breakfast and transfer to Tinerhir to begin a short ride on quiet tarmac roads to the Todra Gorge. over night in todrga gorges.
Day 3. Bike on tarmac and then jeep track to the Tamattouchte Pass (2800m). Superb downhill to the village of Msemrir, then short transfer to the Gorge du Dades. overnight in Dadés gorges.
Day 4. Through the Gorge du Dades to the village of Bou Thar. Then zig-zag to the head of the valley and downhill to meet our transfer to Boulmaine Dades. overnight in Boumalen Dades.
Day 5. From Izemgane, we cross the Jebel Saghro by way of the Tizzi Tazazart (2408m), descending to Bab n'Ali and the Draa Valley. Overnight in N'Kob.
Day 6. A short transfer takes us to the start of the level piste track which leads eventually to Zagora on the edge of the Sahara. overnight .
Day 7. After another short transfer, we bike easily from Tansikht into the lovely Draa Valley, passing kasbahs and surprising oasis gardens. Overnight at Agdz.
Day 8. Straight from the hotel, we bike through remote territory to the top of the Tizi-n-Tinififft (1700m), with a range of excellent riding. Transfer to Marrakech.
