A country of golden sand-hills and Kasbahs (fortified villages), with its fascinating oases and thousands of palm-trees hidden behind the mountains and the sand dunes. A fascinating country owing to its villagers’ and nomads’ hospitality, who make come true the dreams of the travellers looking for a peaceful nomadic life and the wonders of the desert.
Each stage of the journey has to be fought for, each day bringing along its crop of discoveries.
The Program of the Circuit:
Arrival day: pick up at the airport, Transfer to the hotel, welcoming tea ceremony in the hotel, a small visit to the medina of Marrakesh, dinner in jamae el fnae square.
2nd day: visit with a local guide to the most important monuments, parks and souks of Marrakech, dinner in the Riad. visit of the Saadian tombs, Palais Badii, Palais Bahia,dar si said museum and Majorelle Garden in the afternoon. Tickets for the monuments and the park are not included.
3rd day: leave at 7:00 am toward the Ouarzazate, 200 km through the Atlas Mountains (beautiful landscapes and Berber authentic villages)
First Big stop is to visit ‘Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah’ a 16th century fortress classified by UNESCO as a human international patrimony big movies were turned there(Gladiator, Laurence of Arabia, kingdom of heaven, Sand Brothers...)
We stop for Lunch in a nice restaurant at the edge of the Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah
After Lunch we drive to Ouarzazat(the capital city of cinema in Africa), visit of the Famous Kasbah Taourirt.
After Lunch we drive toward Agdez and Zagora, visit of the Draa Valley and its Palmeraie. Spend the night in Zagora in a hotel.
Day 4:
Drive to Tamgrut a 13th century school, we visit the school and it’s famous Library. Arrive to Mhamid around 4 PM
We ride camels for an hour and half in the middle of the dunes; we stop in the middle of the dunes for pictures
We arrive to the camp half hour before the sunset, we have a mint tea with the nomads in the camp we go over the dunes to watch the sunset
After this we go for a walk to discover the desert, you will have the opportunity to see the most amazing sky you have ever seen in your life
Back to the camp for dinner, after dinner the nomads play music for us around a fire
We sleep under nomads tents; we awake you half an hour before sunrise, magical lights before sunrise
5th day:
We see this, we see the sunrise, we ride camels back, and once back to Mhamid we go to a hotel we have a shower and breakfast
After breakfast we get into the vans drive toward Ouarzazate, Lunch in Ouarzazate, after lunch we drive toward Agadir, we pass through Taznakht the capital city of rags and carpets.
We arrive to Agadir late in the evening, spend 2 nights in a 3* hotel, dinner in the hotel
6th day:
Spend the day in the beach
7th day:
In the afternoon, we drive to Marrakech
We arrive to the hotel around 7 o’clock, dinner with a bailey dancing in a high gastronomy restaurant
8th day:
A Hammam(Moroccan steam bath) offered
